Indore: Madhya Pradesh police today said Maharashtra police has not sought their help yet in connection with last week`s serial blasts in Mumbai.

"We have not been contacted by Maharashtra ATS neither have been there any arrests from Madhya Pradesh in connection with the case as per our knowledge," State DGP S K Raut told reporters here.

"Maharashtra ATS (which is probing the blasts) has not sought our help so far," he added.

Maharashtra ATS chief Rakesh Maria had yesterday said that investigators had questioned some accused currently lodged in Madhya Pradesh jails in a bid to get leads in the blasts, which left 19 dead and over 130 injured.

Raut said the only connection between MP and the Mumbai blasts was that one of the victims, a diamond artisan hailed from Panna in the state.

MP police is investigating SIMI activists in connection with old cases, he added.
