New Delhi: India on Friday rejected comments by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the grouping has no locus standi on matters related to its internal affairs.

"We note with regret that the OIC has once again chosen to comment on Jammu and Kashmir and India`s internal affairs in the Resolutions adopted, during the 38th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers held in Astana, Kazakhstan from June 28-30, 2011," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vishnu Prakash said here.

"We reject all such references/resolutions," he said.

He asserted that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and "the OIC has no locus standi in matters concerning internal affairs of India, which is the largest democracy and home to the second largest Muslim population in the world."

Prakash was reacting to OIC`s comments that it extended "total support for the Kashmiri people and their legitimate struggle for legitimate right to self-determination."
