India Post Office Recruitment 2018: Know The Details! Apply Now

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: In yet another major recruitment for students awaiting a job in the postal sector, the India Post has invited applications for the posts of Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman and MTS under the India Post Office Recruitment 2018.

Interested and eligible candidates should apply online before the last date, i.e. January 30, 2018 on the official website.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Educational Qualification:

An applicant should have passed SSC/Matriculation or ITI from recognized Boards or passed 12th standard.

Computer Knowledge:

Applicants must have basic computer knowledge and will be required to provide basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute or can provide certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University/ Boards.

In case the candidates don't have a computer knowledge certificate, they should have computer as a subject in Class X or Class XII or higher educational qualification provided the candidate submits a certificate of Class X or Class XII or higher educational qualification in which he/she has studied computer as a subject.

Age Limit:

For Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant posts, aspirant’s age should be between 18 and 27 years as on January 30, 2018, while for the MTS posts applicant's age should be between 18 and 25 years as on January 30, 2018. However, there is age relaxation for reserve category candidates.

Selection Process:

The selection of the candidates will purely be based on Class 10th and/or Class 12th Marks. No weightage will be given for higher educational qualification.

Posts- Number of vacancies:

1. Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant- 07 Posts
   Pay Scale: Rs 25500
2. Postman: 17 Posts
   Pay Scale: Rs 21700
3. MTS: 11 Posts
   Pay Scale: Rs 18000

Application Fee:

Candidates will have to pay Rs 100 through IPO drawn in favour of Chief Post Master General, Andra Pradesh Circle, Vijaywada – 520013.

Note: Aspirants must ensure that they will have to attach all relevant documents along with the applications. The recruitment will be carried out against the sports quota.
