Kolkata: With the proposed Communal Violence Bill running into trouble with NDA-ruled states and Congress ally Trinamool Congress opposing it, Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said tonight various views were expressed at the meeting of the National Integration Council.

"Various people have expressed their views. Now the whole objective was to have inputs," Mukherjee told reporters here.

"All these inputs will be taken into account when the government finally drafts this bill," he said.

NDA-ruled states and Trinamool Congress opposed the bill terming it as a "dangerous" legislation and arguing that that it would hurt the federal structure of the country.
