Bhubaneswar: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has postponed the exam date for the Assistant Section Officers posts. The exam was likely to be conducted on December 23, 2018.

In a release, OPSC said due to receipt of very large number of applications and consequent imperative need to re-adjust and re-allocate candidates at different centres, the Commission has decided to postpone the written examination for the post of Assistant Section Officers in Group - B of Odisha Secretariat Service, under Home Department.

The exam will now be held on January 20, 2019 (tentatively) instead of December 23, 2018 and the detail programme related to the same will be published subsequently.

So, OPSC has advised candidates to go through the daily leading newspapers as well as the website of the Commission for further details.

The Commission had earlier in September released the official notification inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates for ASO in Group B of Odisha Secretariat Service under Home Department for a total of 500 posts.
