NIFT Recruiting Assistant Professors Under 7th Pay Commission Scale; Know Details

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has invited applications to fill up the posts of the Assistant Professors on direct recruitment. The last date of application is September 6, 2019. Interested candidates have been requested to apply online in the prescribed format on the institute's official website - www.nift.ac.in. In a notification, the institute said the applicants must read the eligibility criteria and other details. In case, any candidate enters incorrect details, the application will be rejected.

The application has been invited for the recruitment of 179 posts of Assistant Professor. Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised institute with three years of experience in teaching is required for any applicant. In case a candidate holds doctoral degree, he/should have one year experience in teaching or research in an institute or university.

Age limit: Any candidate must attain the age of 40 years. The upper age limit can be relaxed up to five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates. This apart, age relaxation of 10 years is applicable for Persons With Disability (PWD).

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on basis of written test, presentation and interview.

Steps to apply: Eligible candidates are required to apply online in the prescribed format on www.nift.ac.in. They should submit attested copies of relevant certificates in support of age, qualification, caste and experience along with the application form.

After submission of the application form, candidates are advised to take a print out of the online application for future record.
