Mumbai: Actor Sharman Joshi and filmmakers Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra have been invited by the University of Mumbai to impart lessons on cinema.

According to sources, Sharman Joshi-starrer `Ferrari Ki Sawaari` had managed to get shooting permission at the University of Mumbai after a long span of 18 years. In fact it was quite a task for the makers of the film to get permission to shoot and the University of Mumbai agreed to grant permission only after thoroughly scrutinising the scene.

The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani`s assistant Rajesh Mapukar, stars Boman Irani too.

The `Ferrari...` team had written a letter to the authorities to thank them for the co-operation and support. To which, the officials requested if they could get Sharman Joshi, their lead actor, Rajkumar Hirani and Vinod Chopra to teach their students about Cinema.

"It was extremely nice of the University officials to allow us to shoot in their premises. It was important for the film. We wrote a letter to thank them for their support and in turn they wanted Vinod sir, Raju sir and Sharman to come and give a lecture on cinema," Director Rajesh Mapuskar said.

"Since both are travelling we plan to co-ordinate the same and make sure it happens. Its the least we can do for the courtesy extended," he said.

Produced by Vinod Chopra Productions, `Ferrari Ki Sawaari` is about a young father`s endeavour to fulfil his son`s dream. The film is scheduled to be released on December 23 this year.
