New Delhi: Actor-director Satish Kaushik is all set to bring vampires to Bollywood after their immense popularity in the West.

The director is not making an Indian version of Twilight but has bought the copyrights of a fast paced, horror thriller The Comapny Red by Shantanu Dhar.

"I have read the book and I love the way Shantanu writes. This is such a gripping thriller that once you start reading it, you don`t want to stop till the book finishes.

"I love making movies and to give this book the form of a film will be amazing. This is a completely new genre for the literally world and cinematic world of India. But we will make it at an international level," Kaushik said in a statement. He also plans to act in the movie.

Kaushik`s previous credits as a director include films like Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai and Salman Khan starrer Tere Naam.

The book, the first in a trilogy, tells the story of Ardhendu Bose, a fatherless middle-class Bengali boy, who is trying to escape failures in life and gets a mysterious job call, which changes his life forever.

Twilight saga, a vampire romance based on the four novels of Stephanie Meyer, has already become a successful movie franchise making Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart international heartthrobs overnight.
