Rihanna named new face of Gucci UNICEF range
London: R&B star Rihanna has been appointed the spokesmodel for fashion house Gucci`s new campaign for The United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF). The Umbrella hitmaker will front the Italian designer`s Tattoo Heart range of products. A quarter of all profits made from the line will be donated to the children`s charity, Daily Star reported.
Explaining why they chose the 23-year-old singer, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini said, "Her strong personality will fit the cause, because a musician and a beautiful woman are the perfect icon for this campaign."
