New Delhi: Aiming to encourage storytelling among individuals, author, Bollywood director, scriptwriter, lyricist and photographer Neelesh Misra realised that men in India do have a soft spot which they try to otherwise hide and some of his stories have been successful in breaking that false shield.

Misra has been narrating stories on his show "Qisson Ka Kona" and "Time Machine with Neelesh Misra" on digital platform Saavn.

Storytelling has the power to pierce through coldest of exteriors. Misra says his stories "got the attention of the most cynical people".

"We have stuck to tying to create good content. We have not done anything else, tried no gimmicks. So in doing that we found that we have got the attention of the most cynical people. The people who are not emotional. When the second season started, a lot of men wrote about how the story impacted them emotionally and one of them wrote 'oh thankgod, I can cry again in my car' so I realised that India is a nation of weepy men," said Misra.

"There was something that we were able to unscrew within their minds and hearts. That men, who were refusing to be emotional, opened up and cried with our stories," he added.
