The 25-year-old actress was at the Betty Ford clinic in California last year, where she served three months of court-ordered treatment.
Dawn Holland, who now uses the name Dawn Bradley, was part of the facility during Lohan`s serving term.
She has now accused Lohan of being violent towards her when she tried to administer a breathalyzer test last December. Dawn has alleged that Lohan grabbed her wrist and "twisted and pulled it for 8-10 seconds", reported TMZ online.
Dawn, who highlighted the incident, was fired from her job for talking to the media and she later took her complaint to police.
However, she dropped her claims, insisting she no longer wanted to co-operate with the investigation and Lohan did not face any criminal charges.
But Dawn now plans to re-open the case and will file the lawsuit today. She is also seeking at least USD 1 million.
