Kangana Ranaut critically injured while shooting for Manikarnika, hospitalised

New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut nearly escaped a fatal accident after being accidentally struck by a prop sword on the sets of her latest movie, Manikarnika- The Queen Of Jhansi.

Sources said the actor accidentally got hit on her forehead while shooting a sword action sequence. She was immediately rushed to Apollo Hospital nearby and has been admitted into the ICU.

Doctor sources said Ranaut has got 15 stitches on her forehead since the cut was too close to her bone and will be under observation in the hospital for at least a week.

Kangana insisted on shooting the scene herself without the help of stunt doubles even though the sequence was rehearsed a numerous times somehow it went wrong, Producer Kamal Jain said.
