Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who shared a close bond with legendary filmmaker late Yash Chopra, says he misses him and can still feel his presence.

"I am very sad...that he is not with us anymore. But I can't feel his loss. I have worked with him for 20 years and I am sure we will continue to see his films for another 500 years," Shah Rukh said at a press conference on "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", which releases on November 13.

"There is a strange feeling that he has not gone. He is still around us."

The veteran filmmaker, whose last film as a director was 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', died on October 21, leaving the Bollywood in a state of shock.

"It was a huge jolt... It was extremely surprising and shocking... It was a sad thing. He has been an important part if my life... His family and others," said Shah Rukh, who has played the lead role in 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

"Yashji wanted us to celebrate his work. He wanted that everyone should be happy while seeing his movies. So we are going to celebrate his experience of working on Jab Tak Hai Jaan," he said.

Chopra announced his retirement from film direction on his 80th birthday early this month during an interview with Shah Rukh.

"I feel fortunate to have lived in his time. He had so many things to share. He generally did not give interviews, he was a very quiet person. This was Adi's (Aditya Chopra) idea and we had to convince Yashji to do it. It was wonderful that we did it," he said.

Both the leading ladies of 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, were full of praise for the iconic filmmaker. Katrina said it was her dream to work with him. "It was like a dream come true."

Anushka, who also worked with the King of Romance for the first time, said the experience was surreal. "To get the opportunity to work with Yash Chopra is perfect. To work in his film was surreal. He had such a loving nature and child-like behaviour."
