Das earned his fame as a stand-up comedian, which eventually paved the way for his entry into Bollywood. "I want to have a healthy balance between my day job as a comedian and the acting career," he said.
"My world has really changed. I don`t know whether I have arrived in Bollywood or not but I am knocking at the door and I think will soon enter the corridor. I am yet to reach the bedroom, I am waiting for that," Das told PTI.
He started his acting journey by playing bit roles in movies like `Namastey London` and `Love Aaj Kal`. Das graduated to become the hero`s buddy in the Shahid Kapoor starrer `Badmaash Company`. But `Delhi Belly` gave him a chance to challenge the actor in him.
"It was a challenge. Kunal had the roles with lines. My challenge was that can I not have the lines and make you laugh. I don`t even speak in the last few scenes. That was challenging as an actor because as a comedian to have your lines taken away from you is really difficult. I was an actor and not a comedian in Delhi Belly," says Das.
"Another challenge that lies ahead is to play a role which is in stark contrast to my urban upbringing," Das said.
The actor is working with Tanuja Chandra for `Raakh` and there is no humour to back him up.
