UPSC notification to recruit for 13 Scientific Officers published; get details here

Bhubaneswar: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification on its official website upsc.gov.in for recruitment of 13 Scientific Officer (Chemical and Non-Destructive).

The posts are categorized as General Central Service - Group 'B' Gazetted- Non-Ministerial.

An applicant must be below than 30 years. Besides, the candidate should have relevant experience in the respective fields.

The Scientific Officers will be posted in National Test House, Department of Consumer Affairs under Ministry of Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution.

Last date for submission of the online application is November 16 whereas candidates can submit the hard copy of the application and all relevant documents by November 17.

Candidates can submit their application at upsconline.nic.in.

Educational requirements:

Candidates should have either Master's Degree in Chemistry or Master's Degree in Microbiology or Degree in Chemical Technology or degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

Candidates holding Master's Degree in Physics or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy from a recognized University or Institute are also eligible to apply for the posts.

Once recruited, candidates will have to undergo mandatory Induction Training of two to four weeks during the probation.
