New Delhi: Only two of India’s top elite cities made it to the top 100 cities favoured by students, a ranking list published by QS World University Rankings for the year 2017 said.

While Mumbai has been ranked at 85th place, New Delhi is at 86th place in the list topped by Montreal of Canada. Only one city each from US and UK has found a place in the top 10 of the list.

The list was prepared basing on several parameters like affordability of education and living, desirability and most importantly the scope of employment, access to employers, quality of universities, facilities for students, the international nature of a city, levels of tolerance, pollution and safety.

OS University Rankings which also ranks Universities world-wide on various parameters is a an annual publication of university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company specialising in education and study abroad.
