Bhubaneswar/Bhopal: In yet another good news for the candidates awaiting a government job and who missed out on opportunities, the railway recruitment boards have released  notifications to fill up huge 5054 Group D vacancies under the railway recruitment 2018. Interested and eligible candidates should apply soon.

Before filling up of the online application, candidates are advised to read the details including age limit, educational qualification, selection process, minimum physical Standard, application fee and how to apply given below.

Age Limit: Applicants’ age should be between 18 and 31 years as on July 1, 2018. However, age relaxation is applicable for the reserved category candidates as per the government rules. OBC applicants have been given relaxation of 3 years while SC/ ST applicants have been given an age relaxation of 5 years.

Application Fee: General category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 while SC/ST/PWD/Women/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward/Ex-Serviceman will pay Rs 250.

Educational Qualification: A candidate applying for the post should have passed Class 10 or ITI from any Institution recognised by NCVT/SCVT or National Apprenticeship  Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
OR
10th pass plus National Apprenticeship  Certificate (NCTV) or 10 pass plus ITI

Selection Process: There shall be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates qualified in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Physical Standard:

Male Candidates- Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

Female Candidates- Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down and Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.

Computer Based Test: All the eligible candidates have to undergo a Computer Based Test on the specified date, time and venue as per the e-call letter to be downloaded by the candidates from the websites of RRBs. The information about the e-call letter download shall be communicated through the websites as well as personal email communication to the candidates.

Total Duration :90 Min, No of Questions:100 Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

NOTE: Candidates should have their own mobile number and valid & active personal email id and keep them active for the entire duration of recruitment as RRBs shall send all recruitment related communications only through SMS and email till the recruitment is completely over. RRBs will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and email address at any stage.

• Fill the required details
• Upload scanned Photograph and Signature
• Submit the online application and pay the application fee
• Take printout of application form for future reference
