Mumbai: The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVC), a Public Sector undertaking of Government of India under the Ministry of Railways (MoR), has released notification for the recruitment of candidates to fill various positions laying vacant.
Candidates’ selection will be done for manning the following position for execution of projects in Mumbai Suburban Area:
MRVC Vacancy Details
- Project Engineer (Civil Engineering) – 8 Posts
- Project Engineer (Electrical Engineering) – 6 Posts
- Project Engineer (Telecommunication) – 4 Posts
Though the project tenure is for 5 years, the initial appointment will be made for two years on contract basis with consolidated emoluments. The period of contract is extendable by three years with enhanced emoluments, depending upon the project requirements and performance of the candidate, the notification read.
Note 1: The numbers of posts shown above are tentative and may change depending upon the project requirements. Applicants finally empanelled, will be inducted as per actual requirement and progress of the project from time to time.

Note 2: Rules of reservation of posts for reserved community candidates would be applied as per govt. instructions of application of the scheme of reservation in work charged posts.

Salary
The candidate will be paid salary in E-1 IDA Scale Rs 40000 -140000 (new scale as per 3rd PRC) with the Basic Pay of Rs 40000/-, DA and HRA @ 24% of basic pay, subject to deduction of statutory or other deductions. Also, other perks and allowances would be admissible as per extant policy of MRVC. They will be granted increment @ 3% of basic pay at the end of one year depending upon their performance & Corporation’s requirement, it added.
Age Limit
Candidate’s upper age limit should not exceed 30 years as on December 27, 2017. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.
Note: Engagement will be made on the basis of scores of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering-2017. Based on GATE-2017 score and Organizational requirement, candidates will be short listed for verification of documents and discussions.
