NIFT entrance 2018 results declared; Check results & other details

Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The results of 2018 entrance examination for admission into National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), India’s most coveted fashion institute has been declared.

Candidates who had appeared Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT) organized on 21st January 2018, earlier this year can check their scorecards at the official website at www.nift.ac.in.

Here’s how to check the results…

  1. Visit the official website of NIFT at nift.ac.in
  2. Click on the ‘Admissions’
  3. On the homepage, click on the “Result of Written Test held on 21st January, 2018”
  4. After another page opens up in new tab, enter any two of Roll No/ Date of Birth/ Application No
  5. Click on Submit button
  6. Your result will appear on the screen
  7. Download/save the page and take printout for future use

Successful candidates will have to be ready for the secondary stage of the examination i.e., Situation Test/Group Discussion which will be followed by candidate’s personal interview.

Bachelor of Design candidates who are successful in the prelims will be called for Situation Test in the second stage while Master of Design, Master of Fashion Technology and Master of Fashion Management will be called for GD, PI test.

Here’s the detail weightage and marking scheme

Under Bachelor of Design programmes, the weightage assigned to each test in the final merit list of the entrance examination will be 50 percent for CAT, 30 percent for GAT and 20 for Situation Test.

Master of Design candidates will need to score 40 percent in CAT, 30 per cent in GAT and 30 percent in GD/PI while for Bachelor of Fashion Technology candidates only GAT score will be taken under considered.

For Master of Fashion Technology and Master of Fashion Management candidates the weightage will be 70 percent for GAT and 30 percent for GD/PI test.

The second phase of entrance: April-May, 2018

Final result declaration: May/June, 2018
