New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has discontinued the subjects of English Elective for Class XII and English Communicative for Class X board exams, effective 2018-19 academic session.

As per the CBSE circular dated March 9, 2018, these two subjects along with four other subjects have been discontinued from this year.

Meanwhile, schools have been asked not to include them in the present Class 10 and 12 exams.

Moreover, students who have already studied these subjects in their Class 10 and 12 would continue to study the subjects.

The discontinued subjects from Class 9 curriculum and subsequently from Class 10 are English Communicative Information and Communication Technology and ePublishing and eOffice.

For Class 11 and subsequently from Class 12, English Elective, Multimedia and Web Technology and Dance Mohiniyattam.

Note: The changes would be visible in Class 10 and 12 Board exams in 2020.
