Rourkela: A former woman employee of an incense stick company at Chhend Colony in Rourkela has brought rape and blackmailing charges against the owner of the company, Maheswar Prusty. The matter came to the fore after the woman lodged a complaint at Raghunathpalli Police Station on Saturday.

As per the complaint filed by the woman, she was once alone in the factory when Prusty allegedly raped her and filmed the entire incident. He also allegedly blackmailed her to circulate the video and threatened to kill her husband if tell anyone about the incident or leave the job.

However, unable to bear the mental trauma, she reportedly left the company in September 2018. In a bid to take revenge for disobeying him, Prusty allegedly opened a Facebook account in the woman’s name and uploaded obscene photos and status to defame her.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case as per the woman’s complaint and complaint and launched a manhunt to nab Prusty, who is reportedly missing after the filing of complaint against him.
