Miscreants slit youth’s throat over suspected past enmity

Khurda: A youth sustained severe injuries after unidentified miscreants slit his throat over suspected past enmity here on Friday.

The incident occurred on Friday night near Rameswar Chhak of the district when a few unidentified miscreants attacked the youth with sharp weapons, slit his throat and fled.

The victim, identified as Papuna Kheta Singh was critically injured and has been admitted to a nearby private hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

On getting information, Jankia police reached the spot and began investigation into the incident.

"There is no information on who all are involved. We are searching for clue to nab them. While the actual reason is yet to be ascertained, previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the attack," said a police official.
