3 members of dacoity gang arrested in Jajpur

Jajpur: Three persons suspected to be members of a dacoity gang have been arrested by a special squad of Jajpur police. Four pistols, seven magazines and over 80 rounds of live ammunition have been recovered from their possession.

An Indigo car bearing the registration number of Rourkela has also been seized. It is suspected that the gang had come to Jajpur to commit a robbery. However, further investigation in this connection is on.

Two members of the gang were arrested while moving in a suspicious manner in front of Bank of India branch near Jajpur road while another accused was picked from near Suryansh Hotel.

All the three miscreants have been detained and are being further interrogated by police.
