Mumbai: Mumbai police on Friday arrested two persons hailing from Sundergarh in Odisha in connection with the brutal murder of an octogenarian Sindhi couple in their flat at posh Bandra (W).

The accused Parvati Khaka and her alleged boyfriend Singhasan Mukut Ekka were arrested from Nagpur on the charges of killing one Nanak Makhijani (85) and his wife Daya (84) on Thursday.

Senior police officials informed that Parvati was working as a domestic help at the residence of the octogenarian couple in Mumbai.

The deceased couple was killed allegedly by Parvati and her friend with an intention to commit robbery. Police have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh from possession of both the accused.
