Sex racket busted in BBSR, 10 arrested

Bhubaneswar: Ten persons including eight call girls and two youth were apprehended after commissionerate police busted a sex racket here on Tuesday.

While most of the girls belong to the neighbouring West Bengal, the two arrested youth have been identified as businessmen Suman Das of Tirtol and Giridhari Lal Gupta of Puri respectively.

According to police, the racket was functioning in a rented house bearing plot no HIG 124 in Lumbini Vihar area here.

Police suspects Sunil Meher, who was jailed for his involvement in sex rackets earlier, to be the kingpin of the sex racket after his release from jail. It may be recalled that Sunil was arrested by commissionerate police twice before. Police had nabbed Sunil for his alleged involvement in Infocity sex racket case in May 2010.

However, investigations are on to bring others to the fore involved in the racket.
