The 30-share Sensex, which has lost over 900 points in the past three sessions, fell by another 110.56 points, or 0.68 per cent, to 16,051.50 in opening trade today, with capital goods, metals, oil and gas and banking stocks leading the fall.
In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index shed 35.60 points, or 0.65 per cent, to 4,832.15.

In the Asian region, Japan`s Nikkei was down 1.65 per cent in early trade today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average in the US closed 0.35 per cent higher on Friday.
