New Delhi: Microsoft on Wednesday rolled out its new Windows 10 operating system.

As announced by the company earlier, all users who are using Windows 7 and above will get a free upgrade to the new operating system.

The users not eligible for the upgrade will have the option of buying Windows 10 Pro for $199 and Windows 10 Home edition for $119.

The software update to Windows 10 will be free for one year.

"Starting today, people who reserved their upgrade to Windows 10 will be notified in waves when their upgrade is ready to be installed," the company said in a statement.

"For business customers, Windows 10 is available to start deploying within their work environments, and starting August 1, organizations that have volume licensing can upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education," it added.
