IRCTC has come up with an exciting offer giving an opportunity to explore the Buddhist sites across the country. The tour will be via Delhi and cover all the Buddhist spots in eight days.

Here’s the Itinerary as per the official website:

Day 1: Depart Delhi for Gaya- From Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station- Departure for Gaya.

Day 2: Gaya/Bodhgaya- Arrive Gaya & Proceed to Bodhgaya- Visit Mahabodhi Temple and Niranjana River. Also visit Thai Temple, Japanese Temple and Buddha Statue.

Day 3: Rajgir/Nalanda- Visit Bimbisara Jail and Gridhkut hill- Visit ruins of Nalanda University and Nalanda Museum- Departure for Varanasi.

Day 4: Varanasi/Sarnath- Visit Sarnath, Dhamekh Stupa and Ashokan Pillar- Visit to Ganges Ghat, Boat ride and Aarti- Deparature for Gorakhpur.

Day 5: Gorakhpur/Lumbini- Proceed to Lumbini (Nepal) by bus- Visit Mayadevi temple and Ashokan Pillar-

Day 6: Lumbini/Kushinagar- Proceed by coach to Kushinagar- Visit Mahaparinirvan Temple, Rambhar stupa and Matakutir Temple- Departure for Gorkahpur Railway Station then Gonda by train.

Day 7: Gonda/Sravasti- Arrive Gonda. Proceed by coach to Sravasti- Visit Jetvana Vihara and Pakki Kuti-    Return to Gonda Railway Station

Day 8: Agra/Delhi- Arrive Agra- Visit World famous Taj Mahal-  Departure for New Delhi- Arrival at Delhi Safdarung Railway Station.
