New Delhi: Two-and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto on Thursday reported an increase of eight percent in its monthly sales for June, which stood at 331,317 units from 305,465 units in the corresponding period of the last year.

According to the company, its motorcycle sales during the month under review grew by 10 percent at 287,582 units from an off-take of 262,202 units in June 2014.

The company's commercial vehicle sales inched-up by one percent at 43,735 units from 43,263 units sold in the like period of 2014.

The company's exports during last month rose by 16 percent at 156,074 units being sold abroad from 135,074 units shipped-out in the corresponding period of last year.

The company sid that last month's exports were the highest ever for any June.

On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) the company's scrip gained by 1.85 percent at Rs.2,570.30 per equity share (1.00 p.m.) from its previous close of Rs.2,523.60 per equity share.
