Air Odisha, Jet commence Udan flight services on Jagdalpur-Raipur-Vizag & Allahabad route

New Delhi/Raipur: Air Odisha on Thursday commenced flight operations on the Jagdalpur-Raipur-Vizag route under the regional air connectivity -- UDAN -- scheme. Airline major Jet Airways too commenced operations under the air regional connectivity -- UDAN -- scheme from Allahabad.

According to the airline, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Air Odisha's flight route Jagdalpur-Raipur-Vizag from Bhilai via live video.

The airline said that the service reduces the travel time between Raipur-Jagdalpur which is 288 km by road from 6-7 hours to only 40 minutes at a cost of Rs 1,670 per passenger.

In another development, Airline major Jet Airways Thursday said that it has commenced operations under the air regional connectivity -- UDAN -- scheme from Allahabad.

According to the airline, the flight service will be operated from Allahabad to Lucknow, Patna, Nagpur and Indore.

The airline said that starting fares for the flights are Rs 967 for Allahabad to Lucknow, whereas the fare from Lucknow to Allahabad starts from Rs 757. The fares for Allahabad to Patna start from Rs 1,216.
