Woman stabbed to death by nephew

Khurda: In an unexpected turn of events, one Sabita Swain was allegedly stabbed to death by her nephew Bikash Swain over a family feud at Ramchandrapur Bazar in Jatni here on Friday.

According to sources, Sabita reportedly had a quarrel with the mother of the accused in the morning. Later, Bikash, in a fit of rage, stabbed Sabita near the Bazar.

Though Sabita was immediately rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition, she succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, Khurda police rushed to the spot and has begun an investigation. The accused is absconding, sources said.
