Vigilance raids school headmaster in DA case

Sambalpur: Vigilance sleuths today raided houses and office of Bhugol Bangola, headmaster of Saintala Government TRW Girls High School on charges of amassing property more than his known sources of income.

Officials conducted simultaneous raids at different locations associated with the headmaster which included his residence at Patnagarh, ancestral house at Tentulimunda village, house of his brother-in-law in Titilagarh, school office and government residence.

"There were complaints against the headmaster for embezzling funds from the government sources towards various developmental works in the school. Today after conducting searches, we have found that the headmaster has assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, Sambalpur Vigilance DSP Abhiram Kar said.

"Till last reports came in, the searches were on and large amount of cash, gold jewelleries and other important documents seized. The details will be revealed after the raids are completed," Kar addded.
