Man attacked with swords in broad daylight, hospitalised

Angul: Six unidentified bike–borne miscreants allegedly attacked a businessman's son in Kuio town of Angul district here on Thursday.

The injured, Sourabh Modi was immediately rushed to District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition.

According to reports, six bike-borne miscreants intercepted and ransacked Sourabh's car while he was returning home after dropping his daughter at school this morning.

Later, the miscreants attacked him with swords and fled.

On getting information, Model police reached the spot and began investigation into the incident. However, the exact cause of the attack is yet to be ascertained. "Sourabh is reportedly stable. All the attackers will be identified and arrested soon. We have launched a manhunt. Further investigation is on," said a police official.
