Girl students bring harassment charges against science teacher

Kendrapara: A few girl students of nodal upper primary high school at Deulatara village have accused the science teacher of indecent behaviour against them.

The teacher in dock, Binaya Bhusan Makakud, has been allegedly misbehaving and harassing the girl students of the school since long.

The matter came to light after the girls informed their respective families about such indecent acts of the teacher in the school.

"The concerned teacher used to misbehave with almost all the students," said one of the girls.

 Following the incident, the school authorities brought the matter to the notice of the block education officer and an inquiry has also been conducted by two teachers in connection with the incident.

"After getting a complaint against the teacher on December 20, we had spoken to the girls and will soon submit a report in this regard," said assistant block education officer, Ranjan Nayak.

District Education Officer (DEO) Sangram Kishore Sahu on the other hand assured of appropriate action in the matter.
