College girl found dead under mysterious circumstances

Rayagada: A Plus-III girl student of Rayagada Autonomous College was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the railway tracks near Majhighariani temple today.

The deceased has been identified as Lipsarani Sunamudi, a resident of Bariguda area under Bissamcuttack.

Alleging murder, Lipsarani’s family members have lodged a complaint with Rayagada GRP. As per their complaint, an unknown caller on Friday informed them that their daughter was at a youth's house.

“Like every day she went to attend her computer classes in the evening but an unknown caller informed me about her. He also gave me her details and said she was with a youth. I suspect the caller along with some others to have killed my daughter,” Gourachandra Sunamudi, Lipsarani’s father told mediapersons.

Family members said that they found Lipsarani’s dead body with injury marks near the railway track while trying to trace her whereabouts.

According to sources, Lipsarani was staying at her uncle's house.

Meanwhile, the police have detained three persons in this connection.

“We have received a memo from railway police and based on which we have registered an unnatural death (UD) case. After receiving the autopsy report we will conduct a probe,” Rayagada Police Station IIC, Lokanath Sahu said.
