50 gm brown sugar seized, 2 arrested

Cuttack: Central Excise Intelligence department seized 50 gram brown sugar worth around Rs 5 lakh and arrested two persons in this connection from railway station here on Wednesday.

Two accused identified as Jamal Khan and Seikh Kalanka reportedly belong to Midnapore district of West Bengal. They will be produced before court today, Excise officials said.

Excise sleuths seized the contraband from the youths during a search operation in Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express.

Further investigation is on, they added.
